About KPV
KPV is a naturally occurring tripeptide (Lysine-Proline-Valine) derived from the C-terminal region of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). In research settings, it is extensively studied for its potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and immunomodulatory properties. Because it exerts its protective effects primarily by interacting with inflammatory signaling pathways—without causing the pigmentation changes associated with its parent hormone—researchers frequently utilize KPV to investigate cellular regeneration, mucosal healing, and immune responses in gastrointestinal and dermatological models.
